Crunchy Chocolate Granola
This homemade chocolate granola is what breakfast dreams are made of—deeply chocolatey, impossibly crunchy, and so much better than anything boxed that you'll wonder why you ever bought cereal again.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup honey
- ⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- Optional: chopped nuts or dried fruit
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together oats, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine honey, melted coconut oil, and vanilla. Pour over the dry mixture and stir until everything is coated.
- Spread evenly on your prepared sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and fragrant.
- Remove from the oven and immediately stir in chocolate chips while still warm; they'll soften and create pockets of chocolate throughout.
- Let cool completely on the pan (it crisps up as it cools), then break into clusters and store in an airtight container.

Chef's tip: Don't skip the halfway stir—it's the secret to clusters instead of clumpy granola, and means every spoonful stays crunchy even in milk.
