Satay Chicken Legs with Peanut Sauce

Sticky, caramelized chicken drumsticks glazed with a fragrant satay marinade, paired with a silky peanut dipping sauce—this is the kind of snack that disappears in minutes and leaves everyone asking for more.

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds and fresh cilantro for garnish

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together soy sauce, peanut butter, honey, lime juice, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and chili flakes in a bowl.
  3. Toss drumsticks with the marinade, coating well. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 30–35 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  5. Thin the remaining marinade with a splash of water to create a peanut dipping sauce. Serve alongside the drumsticks.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro.

Chef's tip: Don't skip turning the drumsticks halfway through roasting—it's the key to that caramelized, sticky exterior that makes these absolutely irresistible.
