Crunchy Chocolate Granola
This homemade chocolate granola is crisp, deeply chocolatey, and packed with crunchy clusters—far more indulgent than it actually is, making breakfast feel like a treat rather than an obligation.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together oats, cocoa powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
- Warm honey and coconut oil together until just combined, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and toss until every oat is coated.
- Spread evenly on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until deeply fragrant and golden.
- Remove from oven, immediately fold in chocolate chips, then let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Chef's tip: Stir the granola halfway through baking—this prevents burning at the edges while keeping the centre chewy and ensures those glorious crunchy clusters form evenly throughout.
